In Term 2 and Term 3 2024 we are again running the Rooty Hill High School Gateway Program. We have three streams of enrichment courses program that have been tailored to meet the needs of students showing a strong interest and work ethic in their studies.
In the program for 2024 students will be able to choose from one of three streams of focused subjects:
- Gaming and Sport – Video games, Volleyball, Geography skills
- Artistic and Creative – Visual arts, Dance, Creative Writing
- Math and Sciences – Forensic Science, Math and Geography skills
The program will encourage resilience, collaboration, and creativity in young people in our learning community.
Students who participate will have a variety of experiences to help them develop curiosity, resilience, and empathy as social learners in a collaborative group environment.
Students will be offered a place who have demonstrated a strong passion for learning and keen interest in getting involved in new and innovative ways of understanding the world around them.
As the program is running in a different method due to staffing there will be limit of 60 places in total to students from across the local learning network which includes Minchinbury Public School, Eastern Creek Public School, Rooty Hill Public School, and Mount Druitt Public School.
